It all started when…

After drilling countless holes in hard drives while on the job. Tech-Nirvana’s owner, Julia Elliott, asked one simple question…what do we do with these drives now. The answer was eventually another company would come through and pick them up and dispose of them. She wondered how and why the fully staffed IT Department couldn’t handle their own data destruction. Then she had a light bulb moment, not all companies can afford to fully staff an IT Department, and those are the companies who really are struggling to maintain compliance. They are left to cipher through meaningless data trying to figure out which company to call for what issue. That is exhausting. Heck, I’m tired even saying it.

Information Technology as a Service (or ITaaS for short) is a way for these companies to be able to call one trusted data solutions provider for all of their needs. Being more of a “boutique” company allows for the clients to be able to create their own plans of what they need. No pre-defined plans that you have to buy in to when you only need one or two services. This is what Tech-Nirvana offers in spades! So let’s do this. About Julia…

She has been a member of the Information Technology industry since 2013. Current Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA SEC+, Lenovo (Desktop, Notebook, and Warranty), Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), and ITIL Foundations in IT Service Management. She holds a degree in Computer Technology Integration with a focus in Cyber Crime and Information Systems Security. She is also an active member of the Information Systems Security Association, International (ISSA).

She has worked as a COO, Field Technician, Computer Technician, IT Compliance Specialist, and an IT Manager for the financial, government, educational, and creative sectors. This is where she learned proper storage, erasure, and destruction methods for data.
